“Enhancing the Continuity of HIV/TB Care in the San Diego and Tijuana Border Region” symposium on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at the Pier South Resort, 800 Seacoast Drive, Imperial Beach, CA 91932. This symposium is organized by the Pacific AIDS Education and Training Center (PAETC), U.S.-Mexico Border AETC Steering Team (UMBAST), San Ysidro Health Center (SYHC), US-Mexico Border Health Commission, Border Health Consortium of the Californias, Curry International Tuberculosis Center, and sponsored by the California Department of Public Health, Office of AIDS.
In line with the Border Health Month, we have planned an interactive educational symposium to enhance the continuity of HIV care in the San Diego border region with a special focus on binational and migrant coinfected patients living with HIV/TB. At the end of the symposium, you will be able to:
• Determine barriers to and identify facilitators for the HIV care continuum.
• Develop community and inter-agency HIV/TB networking.
• Share continuity of HIV/TB care resources.
• Develop preliminary recommendations for a statewide sustainable protocol system of linkage and continuity of high-quality HIV care between California and Tijuana, BC.
